Muito Tempo joins us all the way from Los Angeles. He began his capoeira journey at the age of 11. Having been mentored by Mestre Amen for years, he inherited a deep focus on music - mastering the berimbau, Afro-Brazilian drumming, and singing.

After the last edition, we were left wanting more, and ideas for a follow-up sparked almost immediately - which is why we decided to invite Formada Viuva (Arte Negra Bordeaux) once again. She won you over with her insight into Afro-Brazilian culture, her musicality, and… her craziness on the party floor :)
For those who weren't with us last year, now is your chance to catch up. Viuva draws from her extensive musical education, dance experience, and theoretical knowledge of singing and vocal technique. She regularly leads vocal workshops, and together with Professora Mel, she forms the duo ToDanada, known for their repertoire rooted in the vibes of capoeira, maculelê, samba de roda, and samba de côco.
Now, we just have to wait for the first class!

Mel has been immersed in the world of capoeira since the age of five, growing up surrounded by the cultural practices that accompany it, including samba, maculelê, and candomblé. At seven, she met Armando Pekeno and Michelle Brown, who became her mestres, and proceeded to join the group now known as the Cooperative Bretonne de Capoeira in France.
Between the ages of 10 and 15, she played the drums before focusing more deeply on Afro-Brazilian percussion under the guidance of her master Armando Pekeno. Since 2018, she has strengthened this apprenticeship through numerous trips to Brazil, developing an intimate connection with Afro-Brazilian music and the universe of Capoeira Angola. Alongside this path, her career has also led her into contemporary dance.
She is regularly invited to teach across Europe and Brazil alike.

Otávio de Oliveira Vieira - exceptional capoeirista, musician, and our primary "source" when it comes to all the vibrant nuances of Brazilian music and culture.
Hailing from Angra dos Reis, he has been immersed in the cultural heritage of Rio de Janeiro since childhood.
It was there that he began his path in capoeira, but also his journey through rhythm, movement, and music - encompassing Jongo, Samba de Roda, Pagode, Funk, Umbanda, and Candomblé.
From an early age, percussion became part of his life. As he says: “I was always learning from elders, with respect and listening, understanding that this learning comes from living together and not just from being present. At 18, I moved with my family to Greece and continued on this path. Even far from Brazil, capoeira and Brazilian music remain my foundation, studying samba and other Afro-Brazilian rhythms, always learning and walking with respect. Both in Brazil and living in Europe, I was fortunate to meet incredible people, capoeira practitioners, and musicians, from whom I learned a lot and continued my process, always with humility.”

Meet Banana – one of the faces of Śpiewamos! For over 20 years he’s been deeply connected with capoeira and Afro-Brazilian culture, bringing its musical richness straight into his teaching.
Engineer by training, creative soul by nature - he knows how to make music accessible even for those who don’t feel comfortable playing “by ear.” Detail-oriented, rooted in tradition, and full of passion - his approach makes a real difference at every level. Beyond capoeira, he’s also part of batucada Sorrir Por Favor, a cavaquinho player and a vocalist.
And this year? A brand new version of his classes is coming.
